Dance. Belong.
Everybody counts.

Think Simon Says for adults — set to music. A caller tells the group what to do and everybody learns together. Sunday afternoons now alternate all the way through between square dancing and beginner line dancing, and nobody needs a partner or any experience.

New to our program
We've added Beginner Line Dancing

Square dancing runs in short brackets, and the rest break after each bracket is now a line dance — so the afternoon alternates the whole way through, for the same fee. Square dancing asks you to listen and react to the caller; line dancing asks you to learn a sequence and dance it in your own space. Two ways to dance, one afternoon.

How it works ↗
🎵
What is square dancing?
Think Simon Says for adults, set to music. A caller tells the group what to do — everybody learns together. We dance modern all-position style: no gender roles in who you are, only in where you stand. Beginner line dancing now runs alongside it each week.
All-position by design — dance with whoever you want
📅
When we dance
Every Sunday 2–4pm at the Masonic Lodge Hall, 21 Hartill St, Edmonton. Square dancing runs in brackets, with a beginner line dance filling the break after each one. Classes run progressively over 8 weeks — join any time. Stay for a cuppa and a chat afterwards - share yums and make connections. Of course you're welcome to bring a plate to share too if you want.
🤍
Everybody belongs here
Singles, couples, families, LGBTQ+ people, allies and complete beginners. If you can walk, you can learn to square dance. Community-first. Connection over perfection.
